hello to all…….great weekend in lincoln,nh…..nice show, lots of moose lovers and loon watchers too. had lots of fun sharing stories and listening to other folks stories too. this saturday is jackson, NH up north of N. Hello to all…..this weekend MooseMan is at the Freedom Elementary School on Friday august 7 from 9:30am til 3pm…….then on both saturday August8, and sunday August9….MooseMan is in Lincoln,NH at the 17th Annual Lincoln Fair….two days of fun, 9am to 5pm both days….Come see the new loon images for 2009, along with of course…NEW MOOSE images from the 2009 recent trip in the wilderness…also new are the “gallery wrapped” canvas pieces….these are beautiful canvas pieces ready to hang as is……hope to see ya there……..MooseMan

hello folks……this weekend MooseMan is at Canaan Old Home Day with the Forever Locked Bulls….come on out and say hello and see this awesome display of two huge bulls locked in battle………then next weekend august 8,9…….come on up to moose country….the Kangamangus Highway…..i will be at the Village Shops parking lot in Lincoln, NH for a big show both sat and sun…..see ya there..

WOW, way back in 1984, i remember i was at the outlet of a lake and had 11 moose surrounding me. they were all within 100 feet of me in my canoe. (I had not yet discovered the kayak)…….there were cows, bulls, even cows with calves…11 moose all around me….that number stood as a record all these years ….UNTIL….On this most recent trip in the Maine woods, it finally happened….A NEW RECORD…..an even dozen……..i saw a bunch of moose feeding around 6:30pm and started counting……there were cows, calves, even a yearling there….along with a giant bull…i was so excited as I was counting and when i got up near 10 I said to myself, (am i finally going to break the record?)….and sure enough, there were 12 of them…..I managed to fit five of them into one shot, but with the big telephoto lens, could not fit anymore…..here are five of the twelve………..enjoy!
I could only fit 5 into the shot....but there were 12 in all!

Come on by the expo this wekend in Gilford, NH at Gunstock Mountain…..should be a blast, lots to see and such a great area as well……I will have lots of framed and canvas pieces available…….AND SOME GREAT DEALS….see ya there…

hello to all…..yes, I’m back and what a trip it was, the moose were everywhere…the cloudy weather was just what they wanted to be out feeding almost constantly….At one point i actually had 12 moose in front of me, all within a hundred feet…..i was able to actually get 5 of em into a photo….this dozen at once broke my long standing record from the early 80’s of eleven moose ………I experienced lots of moose behavior i had never seen….even witnessed a mother nursing her calf…..very cool……..and talk about baby moose……..i saw no less than a dozen different sets of cows/calves……here are a couple shots from the trip…..

this past Monday was a great morning….after watching and waiting for nearly a month, the loons hatched their chicks this past week on my favorite pond nearby. I visitly faithfully the last few days to assure i was on hand for the hatch and with a little luck, was there right at the hatch. Loons are amazing birds, and incredible parents. In a few weeks, MooseMan will be posting new images from this year’s action in the “Loon photos” section of the website……Here is a sneek peek….ENJOY…
